Hi My Dear Tippers,

Writing to you from steamy Hong Kong.

More on this busy city next Wednesday. Today, I am sending the tip with a heavy heart.

We lost a faithful style tipper last week...a dear, dear family friend.

Her children threw her and her husband a glorious anniversary party last week and four days later, she was gone.

There was no warning, no prep. She went from joyfully happy to no longer being with us in seconds.

The shock is enormous and the loss is huge.

As the fog clears, it has becoming increasing clear how important the party was...how celebrating this wonderful woman was a priceless gesture...almost orchestrated by something bigger than any of us.

Thinking about how busy we all are, how easy it would have been for her children to not have traveled from all across the US. How much easier for all her guests to simply send a card. How much cheaper it would have been to not include so many friends.

As times are challenging now, celebrating those you love can get lost in the fray. Right now, I can't imagine anything else more important.

I will miss you, Doris.
